    HOLLOW MEN

Transparent chrome tapes with risograph printed inlay card.
    Limited edition of 100 copies.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Since we are accelerating towards the inevitable doomsday, we thought it was about time to present a cassette with Hollow Men.
"Burial of the Unheard" is finally available after lengthy delays. The unearthing of these recordings took place in 2014 - only so that they would return back into the earth again, until now when it once more has been regurgitated from the earth.

The project was the back-to-basics predecessor of the legendary post-industrial act Memorandum. The two albums he did as Memorandum on Cold Meat Industry are among the finest examples of rhythmic death industrial released at the time, drawing heavy inspiration from the "Leichenschrei"-era of SPK, but also moving forwards into the 1990s. Memorandum did perform live with Blood Ov Thee Christ in Sundsvall 1988.

The years prior to that he worked as Hollow Men. Here things are more in the Styggelse tradition - old school industrial / post-mortem primitivism. "Burial of the Unheard" is a soundtrack for broken men in a hollow world.

The cassette collects all material released with HM - to this day extremely rare and difficult to come across. Assembled here for the first time since 1986. The first side contains "The Apocalypse" from 1986. This C20 was the first and only cassette album done by Petter Marklund under this name, released through his own label Mechanik Cassettes. On this imprint he also released several other classic titles such as Lille Roger "Älskar Dig", Brighter Death Now "Slaughterhouse Invitation" & Maschinenzimmer 412 "Macht durch Stimme". In healthy underground spirit he did a couple comp tapes too - "Unveiled", "Im Laboratorium" & "Im Krematorium".
The second side of "Burial of the Unheard" features these songs and contributed to other comp tapes. Besides the ones on Mechanik, we have "Batongen" on Omnium Gatherum &"The Neckparty" released by Arvid Tuba. There is also a track from the sixth volume of "Katacombe" - a series from Industria Tepa (Korm Plastics in Netherlands), a sort of who's who from the international harsh industrial underground of the 1980s.
